After over a decade and a half of hibernation in the football wilderness, Senior football in Harrold was brought back to life in 2005 by the determined efforts of a few. At the forefront of waking this sleeping giant were; Mark Archer, Terry Churchman, Tanya Paston, Dave Charles, Steve Mceldon & Sandra Mceldon.
A ‘Full-Monty’ party was held in the Harrold Institute to raise the critical funds needed to get a club started again. Almost the entire village turned out for the party which raised over £1,400.00. Sandra Mceldon choreographed the ‘Full Monty Dance’ which concluded with the customary full strip!
Then finally, in the September of 2005, newly formed Harrold FC played its first game in the 21st Century when it opened its season in Division 5 of the BDSFL. The Seniors have steadily climbed up through the leagues and now play in Division 1 of the BDSFL.
In 2010 Harrold FC joined forces with Harrold & Carlton FC to become one big happy family. This has paved the way for our junior section to have a seemless transition from youth football to senior football within the club.
